Speaker Bio

Mona Al Hussain joined BNY Mellon in March 2020 to establish BNY Mellon Saudi Financial Company and lead the asset servicing business in Saudi Arabia. Mona manages the day-to-day delivery of service to our clients, sets the strategic direction for the business and ensures businesses adhere to all relevant risk, compliance and regulatory guidelines.

Prior to BNY Mellon, Mona worked at number of international banks in Saudi Arabia; Northern Trust, JPMorgan and HSBC, with a total of more than 13 years of experience in asset services that covered operation, middle office, front office and business development. In her previous role as the Head of Clients of Northern Trust Saudi, Mona was part of the local management team and was responsible for overseeing all Saudi clients’ relationships.

Mona has been involved in a number of side responsibilities in the past as Saudi Philanthropy Leader and the Marketing and Communication Leader of Women Interactive Network (WIN-MENA).

Mona earned her MBA from Prince Sultan University School of Business with a concentration in Finance and her BA in Accounting from King Saud University.

Scott Anderson

Scott Anderson is Director of Research at BNY Mellon Data and Analytics Solutions. He is responsible for research and custom analysis delivered to clients in the form of industry summaries, presentations and special reports. He develops research and analysis that delivers insights into the national broker-dealer and Pershing community, detailing trends within specific investment vehicles, investment styles, platforms and products.

Scott has been with Data and Analytics Solutions since 2009. Prior to joining Data and Analytics Solutions, Scott spent four years at PNC Global Investment Servicing as a member of the Marketing and Distribution Services team. Before that, he worked at Arnold Worldwide, a national advertising agency, in the Strategic Analytics group.

Scott earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Massachusetts.

Bill Borden is the Corporate Vice President of Financial Services at Microsoft. As the head of Microsoft’s worldwide financial services business, he leads the development and execution of Microsoft’s multi-year growth and compete strategies, as well as go-to-market investments, across the global financial services industry (FSI) to support its FSI customers in their digital transformation journeys. 

As Microsoft’s thought leader in financial services, Bill came to the company with a distinguished, 20-plus year career in the industry holding various senior leadership positions at some of the largest banking institutions in the United States including Bank of America and Citigroup.  

Bill holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University, where he was a varsity football letterman. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Northwestern University – Kellogg School of Management. 

Bill is a member of The Executive Leadership Council, the preeminent membership organization for the development of global black leaders. He is committed to helping the communities in which he lives and works through board membership, volunteering and mentoring.

Caroline Butler

Caroline Butler is BNY Mellon’s Global Head of Custody, Tax and Network Management. Based in New York, Caroline reports to the CEO of Asset Servicing and Head of Digital, and is a member of the Asset Servicing and Digital Executive Council.

Caroline focuses on product strategy and development, and works with key stakeholders across Asset Servicing and the firm to drive end-to-end delivery of solutions to our clients. Caroline is also responsible for driving the continued transformation of our custody offering across global markets as digital and new operating model play an increasingly important role in how we meet client needs.

Prior to joining BNY Mellon, Caroline spent nearly two decades at J.P. Morgan, where she was most recently Head of Global Custody Product for the Americas, which included leading the development of the exchange-traded funds servicing product. Caroline has experience working across a range of investment services and trading businesses primarily centered on product management and development. Caroline brings experience working in three key regions. She began her career in Europe as a fund accountant for AIB/BNY Securities Services, worked in Australia as a Portfolio Analyst for Bankers Trust, and spent several years in Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo at JPMorgan.

Dan joined Eagle Investment Systems LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of BNY Mellon, in 2000 and has held various management positions across the organization, most recently serving as Head of EMEA for BNY Mellon Data and Analytics Solutions.

Dan was previously a manager in the Investment Management Business Advisory Services division at Deloitte and held several positions at AIG Risk Management.

Fangfang Chen

Speaker Bio

Fangfang Chen is the Asia Pacific Chair and Asia Pacific Head of Asset Servicing and Digital at BNY Mellon. She is responsible for overseeing the execution of the company’s strategic growth agenda in Asia Pacific and driving the success of the Asset Servicing and Digital business in the region. Her responsibilities also include oversight of the company’s regional structure, including regulatory and legal compliance.

As part of her role, Fangfang chairs the Asia Pacific Leadership Council, and is a member of the International Management Team and the Global Asset Servicing and Digital Executive Council.

Fangfang has a wealth of financial services and consulting experience, including 12 years at State Street, where she held numerous leadership roles in the U.S., China and Hong Kong. Her last role at State Street was Chief Operating Officer for Asia Pacific, where she oversaw operations across multiple businesses in the region and directed transformation efforts in support of business growth. She also held management positions at Fidelity Investments and AIG, and was a consultant at US-based Strategic Decisions Group, where she advised Fortune 500 companies.

Prior to joining BNY Mellon, Fangfang was the chief operating officer and founding member of Algorand Foundation, a fintech start-up involved in the development of blockchain technology to enable frictionless finance. There she oversaw strategy, ecosystem partnerships, business incubation and global community development.

Fangfang holds a Master of Business Administration from Yale University and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing, China.

Fangfang is on the board of Chunhui Children’s Foundation, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to bringing professional care to orphaned, left-behind and marginalized children in China.

Sally Collins

Rowe Price, Jane was with Alpha FMC where, as executive vice president, was responsible for leading teams to deliver innovative Business Intelligence and Distribution solutions exclusively for the Asset and Wealth Management market. She previously served as senior vice president of product and technology solutions at State Street Bank and as executive vice president and head of financial services solutions for Fort Point Partners, a premier digital marketing and e-commerce consultancy providing first to market digital businesses for trading, banking, asset management, retail and consumer sectors. Jane was also an associate partner at Accenture helping to build the New York Financial Services Change Management practice and simulation-based gaming and digital risk management solutions. Jane obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Scranton and a Ph.D. in Cognitive/Perceptual Psychology from Adelphi University in New York.

Speaker Bio

Dr. Cort works at the intersection of sustainability and investor value. Over the course of 20 years, in consulting and academia, he has applied a scientific and economic lens to corporate social and environmental responsibility (or sustainability) in order to identify the tools, mechanisms, metrics and indicators that create the greatest value for investors, businesses and society. Todd has worked extensively with companies and investors across industrial sectors. His experience ranges from ‘on the ground’ implementation of sustainability programs to corporate level communication and investor strategy development. He has also worked extensively on integrated programs to meet regulatory requirements while promoting awareness and understanding of sustainability priorities through communications and engagement with communities, regulators, policy makers and internal stakeholders.   

Todd is currently a faculty member at the Yale School of Management with courtesy appointment at the Yale School of the Environment. He serves as Faculty Co-Director for the Yale Center for Business and the Environment (CBEY) and the Yale Initiative on Sustainable Finance (YISF). He serves on a variety of advisory boards including the JUST Capital Scientific Advisory Board and the PRIME Coalition Academic Advisory Committee. He is also currently a Board Member and Treasurer for Save the Sound, a regional environmental non-profit serving communities around Long Island Sound.

Jeff Cullen brings over 27 years of practical experience in US financial markets to his role as a Solutions Principal. Beginning his career as a specialist/trader on a regional stock exchange floor, Jeff transitioned to several years of managing his own equity trading strategy. The growing influence of technology on the industry indicated an opportunity, and Jeff’s curiosity drove him to positions within early start up technology providers in the financial services space. Jeff was able to both bring and gain perspective across many different functions. These smaller organizations allowed responsibilities in product management, business development, and technical implementation.

Jeff joined BNY Mellon in 2007 where front office, technology and client engagement experiences now inform his analytical approach to performance measurement, attribution and the data management best practices critical to the discipline.

Loai Fadul Bafaqeeh

Loai Bafaqeeh has been Head of Securities at NCB Capital since February 2021. In his current role, Loai has successfully introduced a new platform and products, redefined the business strategy and increased profitability. 

Prior to his current role, Loai was CEO of the Quality of Life part of the Vision 2030 Program and before that he led the Microsoft Arabia operation, with a remit that also included Public Sector sales and marketing.  While at Microsoft, Loai worked and implemented many transformational projects with the Saudi Government. 

Previous roles include Head of Marketing at NCB Capital covering Investment Services, Brokerage, Investment Banking and Asset Management and he began his career at Procter & Gamble where he worked in the healthcare, food and beverage and fem care sectors.

Loai has a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from King Abdul-Aziz University in Saudi and an MBA from the Arabic Academy for Science and Technology.

Anthony Habis is the Regional Head for Middle East and Africa at the BNY Mellon, and Senior Executive Officer of the firm’s DIFC Branch. In his capacity as Regional Head, Anthony’s remit includes leading the firms’ various lines of business to deliver streamlined organizational objectives and providing locally relevant solutions to institutional clients throughout the region. Anthony is also responsible for overseeing BNY Mellon’s Governance and Compliance within the region, and acts as an interface with relevant regulators. He is the Chair of the firm’s Dubai Management Committee, Principal Representative of the Abu Dhabi Global Markets Representative Office, Senior Executive of the firm’s DIFC Branch and also a member of the Europe, Middle East and Africa Operating Committee. Prior to joining BNY Mellon, Anthony was associated with RF Capital Trust, a Principal Investment firm and an Alternative Asset Manager sponsored by the Roberts Family; with interests across real estate, private equity, infrastructure, credit, and systemic liquid / hedge funds strategy. From 2011-2016, Anthony was a Managing Director at Citigroup handling a portfolio of corporate and institutional clients within the Institutional Clients Group. Anthony’s former roles also include being the Chief Executive Officer of International and Group Chief Investment Officer of Al-Khabeer Group, Saudi Arabia – a leading boutique Advisory and Investment Management group with a specific focus on bulge bracket transactional services for corporate and institutional clients. Outside of the region, he has also held senior management positions within the National Australia Bank, Commonwealth Bank of Australia and Lend Lease Communities.

As Chairman of International, Hani oversees the regional management teams across EMEA, Asia Pacific and Latin America and leads strategy development, execution and delivery of enterprise priorities across these regions.

Hani is Deputy Chairman of the Advisory Council for the Official Monetary and Financial Institutions Forum (OMFIF), the independent financial think tank for central banks and public investment.

Hani also serves on the Board of Trustees for UK charity, Breaking Barriers, whose mission is to help refugees in London acquire the knowledge, confidence and experience to obtain stable, fulfilling employment.    

Since joining The Bank of New York in 1997, Hani has held a number of leadership roles in New York, London and the UAE. Hani previously worked for HSBC in New York.

Joshua Kendall

Joshua Kendall is Head of Responsible Investment Research and Stewardship at Insight Investment. He joined Insight in May 2015 and leads the responsible investment programme, focusing on ESG integration, stewardship and policy, ESG strategy and research. Joshua sits on the Investment Association Sustainable and Responsible Investment Committee, the PRI Advisory Council on Credit Ratings and several ESG groups at Insight and BNY Mellon. Prior to joining Insight Joshua held responsible investment roles at MSCI, GMI Ratings and UN Principles for Responsible Investment. Andrew Klostermann

Andrew Klostermann has worked at Charles Schwab Investment Management (CSIM) since July 2013 and is currently a Managing Director in the Fund Administration team. Andrew oversees CSIM’s Pricing and Fair Valuation Team as well as the Fund Administration group’s Strategic Operations efforts.

Prior to joining CSIM, Andrew oversaw the NAV Quality Assurance group at Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH). He joined BBH as part of the lift-out of the Fund Administration operations at Oppenheimer Funds to BBH. At Oppenheimer, he held several roles including NAV oversight, custodian management, and accounting for structured products and bank loan instruments.

Andrew earned his Masters of Science in Finance from the University of Colorado at Denver and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.

Jamie Lewin is the Head of BNY Mellon Investor Solutions. Jamie was previously the Head of Product, Product Strategy, and Performance Management for BNY Mellon Investment Management. In this role he was responsible for a variety of functions including: Manager Research, Seed Capital, Broker Dealer Relations, Product Strategy and Capital Market research. Jamie has also served as head of manager research for Investment Management and, prior to that, as Director of Asset Allocation Strategies for the Investment Strategy & Solutions Group of BNY Mellon. Jamie joined BNY Mellon in 2007 from UBS Global Asset Management where he was Senior Asset Allocation Strategist for the Global Investment Solutions Group. Stephen Marshall is Head of Data Studio at BNY Mellon Data and Analytics Solutions. In this role, Steve leads the development of a cloud-based ecosystem designed to help investment professionals explore, experiment with, and ultimately transform their data into actionable insights to inform better decision making. He joined the bank in May 2019 as co-leader of Digital Business Development, where he worked across the enterprise to identify and launch new, innovative solutions using the firm’s expanded digital and data capabilities, ecosystem of clients, and portfolio of external relationships.

Prior to BNY Mellon, Steve was Managing Director and Head of Mobile Innovation at State Street, where he led a team in creating the firm’s first mobile solution using machine learning. Earlier, he ran State Street Global Alliance, a strategic venturing arm of State Street Global Advisors, which focused on building partnerships with early-stage, innovative asset management firms.

Steve received his Master of Business Administration from the FW Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College, as well as a Bachelor of Science in communications from Boston University. Steve also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a member of the CFA Institute.

Jane Mancini

Jane Mancini is Global Head of Sales for BNY Mellon’s Asset Servicing business. Asset Servicing delivers investment administration, operation and technology solutions to alternative investment managers, asset managers, asset owners, insurance companies, banks and broker-dealers. In this role, Jane is responsible for overseeing business development, designing go-to-market strategies and overseeing enterprise growth initiatives.

Before joining BNY Mellon, Jane held senior roles at State Street Corporation most recently, as a senior vice president who led its Global Client Solutions sales team, and prior to that as Head of the Asset Management Sector, where she directed a business development team of more than 500 asset management firms in North America. Jane also founded and led State Street’s corporate CEO leadership series and was a global advisory board member for the Professional Women’s Network.

In a career spanning more than 30 years, Jane has held a variety of leadership roles, including managing partner of I-Pension Investments, (RIA); executive vice president and head of distribution for Guggenheim, formerly Rydex Investments; managing director and head of the $50 billion insurance business for Putnam Investments; president of SunLife U.S. Distributors’ annuities and retirement business; and senior vice president and head of insurance product and distribution for MFS Investment Management’s annuities, institutional and insurance trust business.

In 2013, Jane was inducted as a Hall of Fame Member of the Insured Retirement Institute, where she served as chairman. She currently serves on the boards of several schools and charitable organizations.

Jane earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Suffolk University in Massachusetts.

Kara has spent her career at Goldman Sachs at the intersection of shareholders, policymakers, interest groups, and the firm’s leadership, helping the firm define and execute on its sustainability objectives.

Currently, she is the Global Head of Climate Strategy and is responsible for working across all divisions of the firm to deliver on the firm’s signature climate initiatives. In this capacity, she plays an integral role in the firm’s leadership on climate change by advancing the firm’s thought-leadership, policy positions, business practices and external engagement efforts on climate.

Previously, she was chief operating officer of Goldman Sachs’ Sustainable Finance Group, which partners with the firm’s businesses to deliver sustainability-related solutions to clients. This includes helping clients to develop capabilities to address climate transition and drive more inclusive growth.

Prior to that, Kara was a managing director in Investor Relations where she led engagement with the firm’s investors globally on corporate governance and sustainability and worked with management and a diverse array of external partners to develop best-in-class sustainability reporting and disclosure.

Kara earned a BS in English and Finance from Boston College, and an MBA from Columbia Business School. She was named a 2020 Millennium Leadership Fellow by the Atlantic Council.

Diane McLoughlin

As Head of Americas, OMNI Digital Services, Diane McLoughlin oversees the digital solutions consulting organization at BNY Mellon. With more than 30 years of experience in software implementations, business consulting and client services, Diane is uniquely qualified to address complex problems and lead her team in delivering client-centric solutions. With 20 years at BNY Mellon, Diane has held a number of leadership positions, most recently as Chief Client Officer of Eagle Investment Systems. Prior to joining Eagle, Diane was a manager in the Financial Services practice at Deloitte Consulting, and held several positions at Fidelity Investments and Digital Equipment Corporation. Bradley Moore

Bradley Moore is a Director of Product Management for BNY Mellon Data and Analytics Solutions. Bradley is responsible for all aspects of product management and development for the Growth Dynamics product suite. In this role, Bradley provides analytical best practice consulting services, designs dashboard reporting solutions and provides strategic and tactical insights on critical industry trends to asset managers and broker dealers. Bradley also manages the Due Diligence workflow platform which supports the ongoing compliance, regulatory and relationship data collection needs of clients. 

Prior to joining Data and Analytics Solutions, Bradley led the effort that was responsible for business process reengineering for the operational innovations group within PNC Global Investment Servicing. Before working at PNC, he was part of a team that streamlined the analytical functions for the finance group at Pepco Holdings.

Bradley earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Master of Science degree in Information Systems and Technology Management from the University of Delaware. He also successfully completed an executive education program on Product Innovation at the University of Wisconsin and an executive education certification in Big Data and Analytics from the University of Delaware.  Bradley also served as the co-chair of the Data and Analytics committee for NICSA.

She is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and events on topics relating to responsible investing, including fixed Income, passive equity, ESG integration and ESG data and fiduciary duty. Prior to BlackRock, Janelle led the Strategy and Transformation team at NCB Group, a leading Caribbean diversified financial services firm with assets of $7.2B. Previously, Janelle served as Senior Vice President of Global Consumer Banking Strategy at Citigroup. Roman Regelman is Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of Asset Servicing and Head of Digital. He is a member of BNY Mellon’s Executive Committee.

As CEO of Asset Servicing, Roman focuses on product strategy and development to accelerate the transformation of Asset Servicing into a more data- and analytics-led business. He’s responsible for driving end-to-end delivery of solutions to our Asset Servicing clients.

As Head of Digital, Roman sets the direction for the firm’s digital future and drives investments in our digital capabilities, including data management, analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning and robotics.

Prior to joining BNY Mellon, Roman took on senior leadership roles that spanned Chief Operating Officer, Chief Digital Officer, Head of Transformation and Head of Customer Journeys. He was a Partner and Managing Director of Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where he co-led its Financial Institutions Digital business and led Customer Journey, North American Financial Institutions Operations and Lean Practices. Clive Robinson

Clive Robinson is the Head of the Asset Servicing business based in Dubai and is responsible for the Gulf Corporation Council region and North Africa. Since the start of 2019, Clive assumed the role of Head of Asset Servicing for the MENA region. Clive has 18 years’ experience in the financial industry, 16 of which were in asset servicing. Clive has deep knowledge of pension funds, sovereign wealth, central banks, asset managers, investment funds and insurance companies and has served some key clients across the Netherlands, Continental Europe and the Middle East. In his earlier role as Sales Executive, Clive managed a number of service engagements with key clients and prospects, while developing a keen understanding of BNY Mellon’s investment services business solutions and the asset servicing industry.

Clive has been with BNY Mellon since 2006 in various capacities from a Senior Relationship Manager to Director of Business Development for the Dutch market. Clive relocated to the Dubai office in 2014 to join the team as part of BNY Mellon’s increased commitment to the Gulf region.

Before joining BNY Mellon, Clive worked for State Street and TMF Fund Services. Clive earned a dual degree in Bachelor of Arts and Business Administration from the University of Wolverhampton and The Hogesschool Holland in 1997.

Gabino has over 20 years of experience in building technology solutions for Fortune 500 companies and start-ups from the 1990s Dot-com era till now.

He’s a former McKinsey & Company firm member where he learned and focused on delivering products faster to market. That enabled him to take on a role at NYSE as Managing Director of application development to help their startup division ramp towards a $1 billion revenue goal.

Later he worked as a Senior Vice President at JP Morgan executing transformation programs in business operations, overseeing technology and operational process initiatives such as a delivering $40m product in their custody portfolio, and helping to revamp the Corporate Investment Bank’s (CIB) KYC/AML and client onboarding operations.

That experience set him up for JPMorgan’s senior management to ask him to take on the Head of Product role at Clarient; a FinTech startup consortium put together by JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, State Street, Credit Suisse, Barclay’s and DTCC. While there, and with his team, he assisted to transform the company’s operations, technology, and product in under six months to meet market deadlines.

It was here where he unearthed valuable insights on how to structure pre-trade data and documents, invent an intuitive and expedited onboarding process powered by patented AI, in order to resolve many of the trading and post-trade issues – leading to his creation of his own FinTech startup; Saphyre.

Charles Teschner

Charles is based in New York and is responsible for the firm’s software and content businesses—including Intermediary Analytics; Eagle Investment Systems, the firm’s data management, accounting, and performance platform; and a suite of new cloud-based products. He is also responsible for the team that is rolling out proprietary and third-party business applications for the core investment process and beyond.

Charles has over 25 years of global experience in the data and digital sector spanning North America, Europe, and Asia. In addition to serving for five years on the executive committee at Standard and Poors, Charles has been an investor and board member in the fintech sector, including at S&P Dow Jones, the world’s largest index company. He also served as an advisor to top executives in the capital markets and information sectors as a Senior Partner at Boston Consulting Group in New York and as a practice leader at Booz Allen Hamilton in Europe.

Rich Vivolo

Richard Vivolo serves as the Data Vault Beta Client Engagement Manager and works closely with all early-access clients to ensure seamless client adoption of the Data Vault platform and internal prioritization of platform features. Prior to working as the Data Vault Beta client Engagement Manager, Rich worked as a Project Executive within the OMNI Digital Services (ODS) group, with a primary focus on data management. Rich is an experienced project manager with extensive knowledge of data management practices and investment management business processes and requirements. During his tenure at BNY Mellon, Rich has honed his data management expertise while leading extensive Data Management and Eagle Performance implementations. He also managed a group of consultants whose primary goal was to engage with clients and deliver industry knowledge and best practices across the Eagle suite of products. 

Rich has over 20 years in the financial services industry. Prior to joining BNY Mellon he worked at State Street as a Business Application Project Manager and was responsible for managing final Business Application code review and approval for accounting workstations. While there he also drove an overall strategic support model for over 1,000 fund accountants. Prior to State Street, Rich also held several positions of increasing responsibility with Investors Bank and Trust.
